‘m going to share what Gege Akutami said in the interview at Mando Kobayashi.
This is Part 3, so I’m going to share about the setting of the Jujutsu Kaisen and about Gege Akutami this time.

Gege can Not pronounce “Jujutsu” well

He went to the bookstore to buy Jujutsu Kaisen, but realized that he couldn’t say “Jujutsu” well.
So he feels a bit sorry for the voice actors in anime that it’s hard to pronounce.
Can you guys say Jujutsu?
It’s hard, isn’t it? Even the author has difficulty pronouncing it.
About Yuji’s parents

Gege said that he would mention Yuji’s parents later.
They showed up a little in chapter 143, but nothing has been revealed about them yet.
His mother has a scar on her forehead, so I guess Kenjaku was inside her tho…
I’m really looking forward to finding out who she really is!

Gege made this baseball chapter as a short break in the story.
However, this chapter was better received than he had expected.
It’s true that this baseball game was fun.
Gege’s feelings towards Gojo

Gege wanted to draw the strongest character, so he created Gojo.
However, Gojo was too strong, so he needed to be removed from the story.
So Gege decided to seal Gojo.
And when Gojo was sealed, he felt “Oh, Gojo was finally gone…”.
Death of Nanami and Nobara

Gege made Nanami and Nobara die in order to help Yuji grow.
He felt that he had to break them once in order to make Yuji grow.
It’s so hard to see such a sweet character die, even if it’s for the sake of Yuji’s growth….
It’s very painful.
Facial Scars

Utahime, Todo, and Mechamaru have scars on their faces.
There have been a lot of theories among JJK fans about the scars on their faces.
But actually, there’s no particular meaning to this.
Gege just made them with the idea that “if you’re a sorcerer, you can get hurt”.
I’ve been thinking a lot about that scar on my face.
But I guess I was overthinking that…lol
About the character’s ending

Gege already decided the end of Yuji and Megumi, but not about Sukuna.
I don’t want anything worse to happen, but maybe something bad will happen in the future….
I can’t take any more pain….
That’s all.
I’ve seen Gege speak at “Mando Kobayashi” and I understand that he thinks a lot when he creates JJK.
And Gege is a very friendly person.
He answers all the questions that are asked to him, and he has a great sense of humor.
