Why Every One Piece Enthusiast Needs to Visit Shibuya’s Mugiwara Store
If you're a fan of One Piece, there's no reason not to visit the Mugiwara Store! I visited the one in Shibuya, perfectly located just steps away from Shibuya Station on the sixth floor of MAGNET by SHIBUYA. The store is a real treat for fans, overflowing with rare One Piece items—it's simply irresistible.
As you explore Shibuya, which is bustling with anime shops, make sure to drop by. You'll be in the heart of the action, near the lively Center Gai and the famous Scramble Crossing, where many fans stop to take videos. While Shibuya has many places to explore for anime enthusiasts, the Mugiwara Store is a must-visit.
Besides Shibuya, there are other locations too, including Ikebukuro and various other cities. Do check them out! Mugiwara Store Locations
Who should visit?
Every One Piece fan, without a doubt!
Here’s how I'd rate the Shibuya store:
Shop Size: ★★★☆☆
The store is about a third of the building size, typical for shops but spacious enough for a comfortable browse. It features beautifully arranged displays and numerous photo spots with unique past merchandise and art pieces that you won't find anywhere else. Depending on how crowded it is, you can enjoy a leisurely shopping experience looking over the rare items.
Number of Items: ★★★★☆
The store offers a wide variety of One Piece merchandise, from figures and apparel to unexpected items like dishware. You could practically outfit your entire daily life with One Piece goods! While the Ikebukuro store may be larger with more products, the Shibuya store’s proximity to the station makes it more accessible for me.
Crowdedness: ★★★★☆
It's often busy even on weekdays. I've visited at night before, and it was less crowded, so timing can make a difference. Expect to line up at the checkout, so it’s best to visit when you’re not in a hurry.
Rare Items: ★★★★☆
The store is stocked with the latest items including some very rare badges, products, and original design materials. I was there in mid-March, and they even had a pre-order available for a Uta figure.
Uniqueness: ★★★★☆
The Shibuya Straw Hat Store offers exclusive One Piece merchandise and experiences you won’t find elsewhere. It's a definite must-visit for fans.
Shibuya is well-known as a youth hotspot in Japan, but it's also a paradise for otaku. Besides the Mugiwara Store, don't miss other popular spots like Animate, Mandarake, and JUMP STORE. Make sure to check these out when you're in Shibuya!
