Jujutsu Kaisen【ch.245】Full-page explanation

This week’s Jujutsu Kaisen was a controversial chapter I think.
I thought there will be Higuruma and Sukuna’s court battle, but it’s just ended by Sukuna in a moment.

And Higuruma’s Domain doesn’t work well either…
I think there’s not much to talk about in this chapter though, let me explain all.

So let’s get started!

This is the comment from the editor.

In English, “Brawling outside the Sukuna Battle! “Hot Gambler” Hakari VS. “Frozen Star” Uraume”

Interesting that it’s a battle between a hot man and an icy woman.

① 過冷却(Kareikyaku)

過冷却(Kareikyaku), “Supercooling” in English, refers to the state of a liquid being cooled below its typical freezing point temperature while still maintaining a liquid form, without transitioning into a solid state.

So Uraume is making her Cursed Energy lower than the freezing point, hitting Hakari and instantly freezing him.



② What is the temperature?

Hakari’s arm is instantly frozen, his arm broken at the base.

What is the temperature at which the arm freezes in an instant and the arm breaks?

I googled about this temperature and could not find a clear answer. Apparently even at the lowest temperature, absolute zero, a person’s arm doesn’t freeze instantly. So this could be under -273.15 ℃…!!

① Hakari surpass Sukuna & Gojo

Uraume confirms that Hakari’s regenerative speed is faster than Sukuna and Gojo. Hakari is better than them only at this point.

Gojo said in Ch.11 that Hakari and Yuta will be as good as him someday. And it comes true now. Yuta’s total amount of Cursed Energy is more than Gojo’s. And Hakari’s regenerative speed surpasses Gojo too.

That’s exactly what Gojo said!

② Uraume makes Iced Drill

The versatility of Uraume’s technique is quite high.

Not only can she instantly freeze her opponent, but she can also drill the ice and throw it at them. It is no exaggeration to say that Uraume’s is comparable to that of a special grade.

① ザシュザシュザシュ(Zashu Zashu Zashu)

Hakari runs to Uraume after Uraume’s attack, making a ザシュザシュザシュ (zash-zash-zash) sound.

“Zashu zashu zashu” is an onomatopoeic expression used in Japanese to describe the sound of something sharp or slicing, like a knife cutting through something quickly and smoothly.

I guess this is the sound of Halari’s Reverse Cursed Technique. I think it’s the sound of the healing process, like a surgical procedure.



② Too fast healing speed

Hakari immediately regenerates his leg the moment it is broken and dropkicks Uraume.

It’s too quick from the time the leg falls off to the kick. It’s as fast as Demon Slayer’s Upper Moon Demons!!

① What does Uraume mean?

Uraume says “They refrain from using their powers to break what they can break”.

What does it mean?

This means that no normal person would act on the premise of destroying their own body. But Hakari does. He attacks Uraume without any concern for his arms or legs being broken. Rather, he fights on the premise that his own body will be destroyed.

He can heal himself with the Reverse Cursed Technique, but not without pain. This is not something a person of ordinary nerve could do.



② Uraume does not see Hakari as a person

She states that she does not recognize Hakari as a person. That is how crazy Hakari is doing. But as Gojo said in Chapter 4, being crazy is an essential part of being a sorcerer. Otherwise, you can’t make it as a sorcerer.

But Hakari was the crazier of the crazies.
